6th July 2007 - Glenn Interviewed on Breakfast TV
Today Glenn appeared on breakfast TV as part of a wedding planning series. As well as providing tips for viewers on choosing a photographer, Glenn was also asked to demonstrate how to pose for photographs. At the end of the day, everybody wants to look great in their photographs.
Members of the crew and Nik and Eva Speakman (life coaches to the stars) volunteered to be in front of Glenn's camera live on TV. The image shown was arranged and captured in 30 seconds. It clearly shows the kind of happy, fun group shots which are a trademark of Glenn & Caroline's award winning photography. They don't do stuffy, boring group shots!!

14th April 2007 - North West Professional Photography Awards - BIPP and MPA
Caroline & Glenn walked away with 3 trophies, 6 Awards of Excellence and numerous merit awards at the North West Professional Photography Awards. Glenn won the title of Overall Wedding Photographer of the Year 2007. Glenn also won the Classical Wedding Photography Trophy and the Studio Portrait Photography trophy. Caroline received an Award of Excellence for her Fashion Photography. Together the creative duo received 6 awards for their stunning Wedding Albums.
The North West Professional Photography Awards is the most prestigious regional event in the UK and draws upon the best creative talent from the British Institute of Photography and the Master Photographers Association. This year was a record year with over 700 images assessed by the judges Kevin Wilson FRPS FMPA FBIPP and Steve Dodd FBIPP. The Awards were presented on Saturday night at the newest addition to the Manchester Skyline, the Beetham Tower Hilton on Deansgate.
4th April 2006 - Charity Fashion Show
Caroline & Glenn donated their Fashion Photography skills to help raise money for Manchester Children's Hospitals. Over £1,000 was raised from photograph sales from a charity children's fashion show and every single penny was donated to the Children's Hospital Charity.
Commenting on the event Caroline said "We're delighted to be involved with this event for the third year running. We're in the fortunate position of running a successful photography business that means we can donate all of the materials and our time for free to worthwhile events like this." 25th February 2007 - National Print Exhibition @ Focus on Imaging NEC
From 25th to 28th February some of Glenn's award winning work will be exhibited at Focus on Imaging @ NEC. Focus on Imaging is Europe's biggest annual imaging show and Glenn's work will be displayed in an exhibition supported by the British Professional Photography and the Master Photographers Association.

15th November 2006 - Children's portrait exhibition at Daisy & Tom
From the 15th November you can see a selection of our favourite children's portraits on display at Daisy & Tom's flagship store on Deansgate in Manchester city centre. The exhibition is on the 2nd floor Children's clothing department, Daisy & Tom, 118 Deansgate, Manchester M3 2GQ.
The exhibition lasts 6 weeks until Xmas eve and we are giving away a superb art canvas block and photoshoot every week to celebrate winning 'The People's Choice Portrait Award 2006'. To enter all you need to do is tell us why you'd love a family photoshoot in a maximum of 25 words. Entry forms are available in store. No purchase necessary, no strings, no catches!!!
8th November 2006 - British Institute of Professional Photography Awards NW
Last night Glenn collected the trophy for the People's Choice Portrait Photography Award. The portrait category is always strongly contested and this year's competition saw a record number of entries. Glenn also won 2nd place in the advertising & commercial category and Caroline was 2nd place in the wedding category.
The competition judge, Roy Wooding FBIPP, was really impressed with Caroline & Glenn's work: "overall quality is very good" and "very strong images". He further singled out Caroline's wedding entry and said "you can see the bride is absolutely in touch with the photographer... great shot!!!"
Commenting on the judges feedback Caroline stated that "it is the personal connection we have with our clients which helps create so many award winning pictures for us."
6th November 2006 - Website hits set a new record - half a million hits!!!
In the week to 5th November 2006 the uniqueweddings.co.uk website had 597,538 hits. This is the first time uniqueweddings.co.uk has achived more than half a million hits in a week.
Commenting on the milestone Glenn said "This just shows how popular finding a wedding photographer on the web has become. Clients can shortlist their prospective photographers via the internet and then meet their favourite. We're particularly pleased at the milestone as our website is designed in house by our own unique creatives, as are all of our creative projects"
29th October 2006 - British Professional Photography Awards 2006
At the British Equivalent of the Photography Oscars, Caroline & Glenn picked up further awards to add to their impressive collection.
Together they won awards in the following categories, including a National Award of Excellence for the second year in sucession:- Fashion, Advertising, Weddings, Architecture & Industry.
Chairman of the judging panel, Kevin Wilson FMPA FBIPP FRPS was delighted with this year’s entries: “The standard was truly remarkable. It is a great honour to win such a prestigious prize - I hope Caroline & Glenn use their Awards to further their careers.”
29th October 2006 - Kodak Portrait & Wedding Awards
Open to all professional photogragraphers Caroline & Glenn were runners up in both the wedding and the portrait category. The winning images won both the customers and the photographers £1000 each. We'll be working hard to win next year and we hope one of our customers will be in the winning image and get £1000!!!

26th October 2006 - Holly Davies Promoted
Through hard work and dedication Holly has been promoted to Production Supervisor. Holly will be responsible for managing Pre & Post Production activities, allowing Caroline & Glenn to dedicate more time to photography. Holly is a graduate of Leeds University with a BA Honours in Media & English.
Commenting on her promotion Glenn said "We are absolutely delighted to be able to provide this opportunity for Holly. Her creative talent and commitment to our customers is first class. Having an effective in-house post production team is a critical success factor for photographers in the digital age. Holly will lead that team, continuing to add the wow factor to all our production activities."
1st October 2006 - Charity Fine Art Auction
Caroline & Glenn donated 10 handmade and signed prints to Henshaws Society for the Blind to be auctioned as part of the 'Vision & Light' Fine Art Photogrpahy Exhibition at the Firbob & Peacock Art Gallery in Knutsford. Their prints raised almost half of the overall funds raised for Charity.
Caroline said "We are delighted to support Henshaws with our Fine Art Prints. Glenn & I are very fortunate to be able to use our sight every day doing the job we love."
30th September 2006 - Glenn appointed Mentor for the MPA
Glenn has been appointed a mentor for the Master Photographers Association. He will be responsible for guiding other photographers through the process of getting their professional qualifications. This involves assessing their current work and providing advice and feedback on what they need to do to improve their photography. The aim is to help other photographers reach the high standards needed to achieve government recognised professional qualifications.
7th October 2006 - Bonhams Fine Art Auction
Caroline & Glenn donated 20 signed, limited edition, fine art prints and helped raise over £65,000 for ‘Help the Hospices' at the Lliving Exposure auction, Bonhams, Bond Street, London .

Living Exposure, a unique contemporary photographic auction and draw, has again surpassed expectations and raised £65,000 for the charity. The funds will assist the charity to provide grants, funding, training, advice, information, advocacy and support for the 220 plus hospices throughout the UK . Each year, hospices provide care and comfort for people suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses – and give support to those caring for loved ones. 250 people attended the event for which more than 200 photographs had been donated by leading UK photographers. All the images were selected by a panel of experts from hundreds submitted by members of UK professional photographic industry bodies. Maxine Blunden, corporate fundraising manager at Help the Hospices, said, "We are truly grateful to Towergate Camerasure, sponsors of the event, for all their efforts in staging Living Exposure for the second year running, and to all the photographers who donated pictures. We're thrilled to have raised £65,000 which is an incredible sum. A great time was had by all."
August 2006 - Henshaws Charity Fashion Shoot
Glenn & Caroline joined other photographers from the MPA & BIPP on a charity fashion photoshoot at Arley Hall. The shoot was in aid of Henshaws Society for the Blind. It provided the opportunity for up and coming local designers to have their designs professionally photographed by some of the region's top photographers.
Commenting on the day, Glenn said "It was fantastic fun to work with such fresh and creative designers. I hope the images we have taken will help establish their careers and make their mark on the fashion world."
1st April 2006 - Charity Fashion Show
Caroline & Glenn donated their photographic skills to capture a Charity Fashion Show in support of Manchester Children's Hospitals. Over £1,000 was raised from photograph sales and every penny was donated to the charity.
1st April 2006 - North West Professional Photography Awards - BIPP and MPA
At the inaugural North West Professional Photography Awards, Caroline & Glenn walked away with 5 trophies and a total of 19 awards between them. Glenn winning the overall title of Professional Photographer of the Year 2006 and Commercial Photographer of the Year 2006. Glenn also won the Reportage Wedding Photography trophy, the Environmental Portrait Photography trophy and the Advertising and Commercial Photography trophy. Caroline took Silver in Environmental Portraiture, thus keeping it in the family!
This is the first time the British Institute of Professional Photography and the Master Photographers Association have joined forces to celebrate the very best of professional photography in the North West. The awards ceremony took place at the Lowry Art Gallery in Salford Quays, and the competition was judged by George Dawber FBIPP FMPA & Mark Sykes FBIPP FRPS QEP.
